Currenly, the public is concerned about what Dengvaxia, a vaccine that is said to prevent dengue, really is and how it really should be used. This had left a huge misunderstanding that led to the death of multiple Filipino children.

 

According to the government, the vaccine’s purpose was not clearly elaborated by its developer resulting to its misuse and catastrophe to the families with their members injected with this. They added that they are now planning to sue its developer.

 

Although the company who made the vaccine will then be sued, there is still more issues on the government’s hand. Not only did they show that they didn’t study the vaccine very well, they also put the lives of many children at stake.

 

Because of this, a lot of parents, more or less 70, have decided to create a petition regarding this issue. As of now, the Supreme Court is expecting a reply from government executives.

 

To cover up the damage that the government had caused, they intend to be in charge of the expenses of the children who were injected by the said vaccine and had awful results. In addition to this, former Health Sec. Janette Garin had admitted her mistake that was commited while in a meeting with the developers of Dengvaxia.
